The Balkans is a rare intersection of different cultures, where they are all respected and preserved. Tiran, the capital of Albania, has indicated this one more time with a unique concert given by violin virtuoso Olen Chesari, featuring Sufi music was performed with modern musical instruments.
Chesari took to the stage with the International Secret Orchestra, a band that has mesmerized thousands of audiences all over the world. This time they met with Albanian music lovers in the Albanian State Theatre. The group performed some pieces from its last album called ‘The Unexpected’ and added some songs from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Cuban artist Shama Milla also made a surprise guest appearance at the concert, enchanting the Tiran audience with a rare duet with Chesari.
Giving an exclusive interview to TRT TURK after the concert, Chesari said “We are working to preserve the musical richness of different cultures by performing them with the International Secret Orchestra. In this concert, we introduced our latest album to the audience. We also performed internationally well-known pieces.”
Chesari also stated that he gave many concerts in Istanbul and extended his warm wishes to Turkey.
